Check it Out: Dekalb Market!

Of course I leave Fort Greene and the Dekalb Market comes to the hood! The lovely folks at Urban Space have done it again with Dekalb Market, a new outdoor market/destination near Downtown Brooklyn’s Fulton Mall featuring creative entrepeneurs varied wares and goods out of salvaged shipping containers! This new community setting will also include an incubator farm, a food market, special events, performances, sit-down eateries, and work-sell spaces.

Participating food vendors include Cheeky Sandwiches (best po’boys), Joe Coffee, Robicelli’s CupcakesSour Puss Pickles, Cuzin’s Duzin Mini Doughnuts, and more! Retail outfits include eco-chic children’s clothes, antique and custom furniture, digital prints, vintage eyewear amongst others.

This Saturday is a pretty busy day for foodies in the city with Meatopia and Serious Eats All-Star Sandwich Festival, but if you can… squeeze in a trip and check out this new spot!

What: Dekalb Market
