Recipe of the Week: Double Chocolate Fudge!!!!

During the holiday season all you hear about is cookies; cookie swaps, cookie parties, gingerbread cookies, the list goes on and on. But what about fudge??? Fudge deserves some holiday love from us all too! So peep my quick and easy recipe I adapted from a Food Network Magazine recipe I saw awhile back. So instead of taking a dozen or so cookies, think about giving the gift of chocolately fudge! Enjoy!

Ingredients:

  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 cups bittersweet chocolate chips
  • 2 cups white chocolate chips
  • 1/2 tsp salt, divided
  • butter (for brushing foil in pan)

To Make:

  • Line baking pan (I used an 8 inch) with foil and press in corners and up the sides, leaving an overhang
  • smear the foil with butter (I used a culinary brush)
  • combine 3/4 cup of condensed milk, chocolate chips and 1/4 tsp salt in a medium saucepan and cook on low heat
  • in a separate saucepan combine rest of condensed milk, white chocolate chips and remaining salt and cook on low heat
  • stir both pans (with separate spoons) occasionally until both are melted and smooth
  • spoon chocolate chip mixture into prepared pan, leaving spaces between the spoonfuls, and then spoon white chocolate mixture in those spaces
  • butter parchment paper to fit over fudge and flatten evenly to fill in any gaps laid by spooning mixture in
  • refrigerate for 1 hour (or until firm)
  • when done, lift the foil to remove fudge from pan and cut into desired sized squares
  • enjoy!!!!

*these can be stored for up to 6 days in an airtight container
