Do you bake, can, preserve, prepare, grow or forage food on the side here in NYC? Or do you just enjoy eating any and all of the aforementioned items??? Well BK Swappers two-year anniversary event this Sunday, March 18th, is for you!!!
A bimonthly Brooklyn-based larder swap and social gathering, BK Swappers allows home cooks to trade their home-made goodies for other delectable homemade foods in a supportive and fun space! Not only does it build a home baking and cooking as a hobby community but it also empowers people to turn their passion for food production into a profession!
Enjoy free discussions and demonstrations from some of the borough’s best do-it-yourself artisans and enjoy their two different swaps: non-edible and edible! Non-edible items include crafts, candles, cookbooks, jewelry, etc and edible include everything from baked goods to drinks and canned items!
The event is free and open to the public, but if you are interested in providing something for the food swap, be sure to RSVP here! Demos and discussions go from 12:30-4pm, the non-edible swap starts at 2 and the edible swap starts at 4!
